The MBA students keenly participated in industrial visit organized by Together Edu Tourism Pvt Ltd and had an amazing experiential learning in this tour.Students assembled in the college campus on 10th June 2017, for the take off, excited and curious at the same time to see how the management skills are implemented on such a large scale and enhance the productivity. Enthusiastic students boarded the coach post lunch for an overnight journey to Kochi.
The next morning (11-06-2017), students reached the hotel at Kochi to settle and freshen up. After breakfast, they left for Alleppey for leisure and sight-seeing which they desired after a long journey. Most part of the sightseeing is done in a boat which was a refreshing and amazing experience for students. The same day evening, they went to Alleppey for exploring and learning the culture and people and environment.
On 12th June, the students had a real time experiential learning in the industry. They visited KITEX Garments near Kochi. This Company, established in 1992, currently employs around 7000 individuals at its facility. Company is currently rated as the second largest producer of children’s apparel in the world, and is now in the process of setting up their operations in the United States of America. With its high end technology combined with its skilled man power and proficient management, this fast growing unit has already set its benchmark in the world of readymade garments. Our students were immensely benefitted by understanding the actual manufacturing and finishing process inside a complex network of preparatory and management system.
After an informative session, students went to beautiful Marine Drive to enjoy the rest of the trip and relax. After lunch, they boarded the train to Bangalore.
