Global Academy Of Technology was established in the year 2001 and is listed one of the top Engineering and Management institutes in Bangalore, Karnataka. This prestigious Institution is located in a prime location in South Bangalore, on the hill top of Rajeshwarinagar, which is one of the fastest growing area, having a number of educational institutions and supported a well-connected transport system. The institute has more than 2000 students and 300 experienced staff to provide quality education to its students. We, Together Edu Tourism had an amazing opportunity to organize an industrial visit for Department of Mechanical Engineering at TVS automobiles in Bangalore.
This tour was aimed at giving students, much preferred break from daily routine schedule and making them aware of the insights of a top-notch automobile industry. So the tour started on 12th May, 2017 at around 12:00 PM at noon when enthusiastic students boarded the bus for a much awaited industrial visit.
At 02:00 PM students reached the TVS facility with their hope to learn the best industrial practices from a renowned automobile manufacturer in the country.
Around 02:30 PM, after completing the security formalities, the much awaited tour started where students got a chance to see the ”State of the Art” technologies put into use along with a disciplined work force working in a synchronous manner to deliver the market demands and quality requirements of the company. Students got a real time exposure to virtual environment as they found out that the factory environment was different from the theory that they have been equipped with. But more importantly, the skilled experts helped them to solve their mystery by explaining in brief about the functionality of each machines and actually how the whole process works. It was a great experience for them and students too feel that there should be such practical sessions to help them understand the process better.
The students and the faculty carried excellent learning’s with the actual working environment of an industry, that are very different from the textbook reading, and completed this tour with lots of experiential learning about the manufacturing of two Wheeler’s.
We Together Edu Tourism family were quite content and happy to see the students acquired sound knowledge and this helped them to strengthened the foundation of the knowledge to the next level. We are even more motivated to organize such Focused Industrial Visits, for students in the future.
